Venture TikTok ban in the US

It could follow other countries

The United States is considering banning TikTok application because of its ties with China. In recent weeks, the video sharing platform had already suffered a similar treatment from the Indian government, given the growing tensions with China stemming from a border dispute. To make money, so far, it has been Facebook, thanks to India's decision to ban TikTok and about thirty other apps Chinese gained nearly 10% in the stock market.
And there's more. The app also soon leave the territory of Hong Kong. With China agreed to tighten its grip on the former British colony through tough laws on national security, TikTok but also Facebook, Twitter and Google start to cut off relations with the local authorities regarding the sharing of user data.
Currently, the Pentagon prohibits its soldiers to use TikTok on members of the governance arrangements. The fear is that China can use the app to espionage. With over 2.0 billion downloads in the West, TikTok has broken all records on digital distribution platforms coming to undermine even Facebook.
TikTok has been able to catch the ball using the Facebook ecosystem exodus, also recently boycotted by advertisers. By doing so he has taken control of many business partners and content creators from the rival.
In an attempt to discredit TikTok, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the company is a threat to free speech. According to him the app would help China to stop the leakage of information to foreign countries and censor anyone with critical positions toward the Xi Jinping government.
TikTok denies having ties with the Chinese Executive but the political pressure and public opinion about the company continue to increase. After the prohibitions of the Pentagon, the Trump administration could put a total ban on TikTok app and other Chinese in the United States, as the Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Recall that the White House has already banned Huawei from 5G market in the US because of its proven links with the Chinese government.
Meanwhile, other countries assess possible restrictions on apps from China. Will TikTok to stay afloat or end up in the abyss as Huawei?
